Delete your account
You can delete your Future Self account and everything stored with it at any time. There are two ways to do it, and both remove exactly the same things.
From inside the app
Open Settings, scroll to the bottom, and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm once. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
By email
Write to contact@meetfutureself.ai from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We will action it and confirm within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
We ask you to write from the account's own address because it is how we know the request is yours. We will not delete an account on the strength of a request we cannot verify.
What gets deleted
Everything attached to the account, permanently:
- Your account and sign-in details
- Your name and profile
- Every letter written to you
- Your goals, your daily practices, and their history
- Your reflections and check-ins
- The answers you gave when you signed up
Nothing is kept back or archived. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before those are cycled out on our provider's normal schedule.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are held by Google Play or the App Store, not by us, so we cannot cancel one on your behalf. Cancel it first — in the Play Store or App Store, under your account's subscriptions — or billing will continue for an app you no longer have.
